The 5th Annual Streets Alive! Parks Alive! is just around the corner!

Join me on May 3rd and 4th for bike rodeos, fitness demos, family picnics, farmer’s markets and relay races throughout our county.

It’s that time of year to get out in parks and public spaces to be active, healthy and have fun in your local community. This year we are looking forward to a range of events from Colma to Menlo Park. Streets Alive! Parks Alive! is free for all to attend and provides free and low-cost activities for the whole family to enjoy.

This year’s participating cities include:

Foster City
Menlo Park
Redwood City
San Mateo
South San Francisco

For the first time this year, there is a Tri-City “Ride in Disguise” hosted by San Mateo County Parks, City of San Mateo, City of Foster City and City of Belmont. It runs from Coyote Point Park along the Bay Trail with activities at Coyote Point, Ryder park and Belmont Sports Complex, in addition with Recharge Stations along the way. Learn more here.

In addition to all the participating cities, we have great community partners and sponsors who make Streets Alive! Parks Alive! possible. Stay tuned for additional information regarding events and day-of activities, in addition to new locations. In the meantime, make sure to save the date and attend in a city near you!

I look forward to seeing you be active, healthy and local on May 3rd and 4th!
